I saw my nuero tonight, he is my last hope for treatment in Tx. he placed me on Gabapentin 300mg 3x day. and thinks i need to up the dose now, do to the neuropathy and now the reflexes in my right knee are not working. he hit my 3 times and nothing happened at all.

he whent over everything else too with me. the MRI and the blood work from my other DRs. so he is ordering about 6 new tests for me to have tomorrow(blood work) then a EEG, and spinal tap. witch i do not want.

he told me if he finds whatever it is he is looking for he will treat my aggressively for lyme then. i posed a nice puzzle to him tonight. and told him i am getting worse each day.

so i guess now i have no choice but to have the spinal tap to get treatment, uggggg

sad part of this is its going to be another 2 months b4 i can have it all done and see him again.

oh yah he also thinks i may need to start B12 shots too.

Hi RD!

I really hope he does decide to treat for Lyme- it's great that you've even got a doc to consider it! Too bad you have to wait two months, though. He's not looking for Lyme in the spinal tap, is he? Because I've heard that you only have about a 20% chance of finding it....

And B12 shots are a good idea. They help with nerve pain/symptoms.

he said he was looking for some kind of enzymes. for a few different things. he is very hard for me to understand.

You should visit Dr. Zhang's website. The chinese herbs have helped me a lot. www.sinomedresearch.org/drz.htm His book explains his methods. And it is explains why antibiotics only can take you so far.

ttlittlestar, thank you for the link i will look into it and see what i may come up with.

V, i'll keep going till i'm 6 feet under. i'm not one to give up. i do know when i am not being treated properly tho. i am just scared to get my hopes up again to have them dashes once more. it is so sad when you are put in this place by Drs.

It makes me so mad that they are giving you the run around like this. They are taking all of these tests, repeating some, and it is less expensive to just treat you. This just blows my mind.

CG in the last yr alone i have had my CBC and RA test done 5 times. CBCs are a lil high but have been at the same number for 6 months no change. i was told my body is fighting something most likely arthritis. but they do not know what kind i have.

just my luck i have something no one heard of. i want it named after me.LOL
