Anyone see Dr J in Maryland?

I see this doctor's blog site and he seems very knowledgeable. But for me to go to him I'll have to travel a huge distance and it'll costs a lot of money that I really don't have...yet regaining my health is everything. Has anyone any feedback on him to better help me make up my mind if he's worth it or not?

Not familiar w/ Dr S. How would I find out more about him? I'm not sure how to send a private e-mail but I would love to talk to you further about him and see how your experiences have been, how he approaches his therapies, and what results have you seen? Looks like I might get one chance to start up w/ a new doc, but since it costs so much, if I happen to choose the wrong one I'll be stuck w/ him or her due to their initial new patient fee being so high. But hey, maybe your doc takes insurance?? That would be a blessing.

IMO you are better off seeing Dr S in MD (Lyme book - not sure of the title).  Dr J prescribed CIPRO for my daughter & she is only 12.  There is no way I will give that to her. 

 

Im pretty sure Dr S is reasonably priced.  I would take my dd to him, but he doesn't see older kids & teens :-(.

Lotusillusion- It must be your lucky day! I saw Dr. J today at 11:15am. I almost cancelled my appointment because last week my neurologist said she was pretty sure I had MS and I definitely didn't have Lyme. She decided that I didn't have Lyme because my WB was "negative", though I did have two hits. Well, Dr. J spent about an hour with me today and did so many nuerological tests. He then asked me what my neuro said about my WB test results and I told him that she said they were negative. He said, "She's wrong. You have Lyme!" He said that I don't have MS. He is sending me to the lab for more blood work. Tomorrow, I am schedule for a Lumbar puncture, where they will remove spinal fluid. He told me to ask the lab to take one extra vial and to drop that off at the lab next to him- Clonogen. If you do one thing in life, you HAVE to see this doctor. If I did not see him, I would have started my MS treatment on Sept 11, as that was when I was scheduled. Furthermore, my neuro wasn't even having my spinal fluid tested for Lyme, so my only other option is MS. She was convinced it was MS. Something else Dr. J said that I find completely interesting and CAN'T believe that neurologists don't consider it, but he said that the normal person gets one lesion on their brain for every ten years of life. I'm 36 and I have 4 lesions and he said that could be normal. They are small lesions and of course could be because of Lyme. If you want to email me offline, you are welcome to.
