newbie asking about alternatives

Hi everyone, i'm new to the forum and i am very interested in learning about success stories with alternative treatments. I'm sure there must be some of you that are healed and are on here to support those who are not. I am very interested in hearing peoples stories on Dr. Jernigan's treatment (Hansa Clinic in Kansas) and also the Cowden or Zhang protocol or buhner. I also know there is something through Envita? I am interested mostly in Dr. Jernigan's protocol- heard he treats kids too- if anyone has success stories or opinions please share! Thanks so much.  I am considering 1 round of meds but would rather use natural treatment as ive heard some bad side effects can come of some of the meds. and i'm not willing to try that with my babies. THanks for advice!

thank you traveler- I don't know exactly how long ive been infected. I do suspect my 2 babies of also having it. I ve been noticably sick for 2 months- i initally thought this was a parasite issue- and i have been doing parasite cleansing but I think it is more than that now. I get bone popping, some numbness /tingling in feet or hands occasionally, chills at least 1 time a day- very weird. I am interested in trying Dr. jernigan's protocol =Kansas Hansa Clinic- but i don't want to just spend a bunch of money without having a good feeling that this might work or at least help. I am trying to plan steps carefully, so far this thing has not gotten ugly yet b/c i am taking steps to help myself where i can. My friend just got through listing all the dang supplements i should take and boy is there alot for my tired brain to handle- i get bad headaches and sometimes i have the short term memory thing- but oh well- such is life, somehow i must stay positive. when i first got sick i thought i was going to die each day- but when i started addressing parasites and changed my diet i began to feel just a tiny bit better. I still have an itchy crawly feeling sometimes and mild joint pain. Are you familar with the Hansa clinic in Wichita Kansas? The guy has a book called beating lyme. There is also that Envita thing- but from past posts here it doesn't seem they treat kids. I am at a toss up as to whether i should see an actual LLMD- i don't want to be pushed into antibiotics -i'm probably no longer an "early case" anyway. I think the drugs can make things worse for some people- kills out good flora/bacteria and also encourages candida problems. This is just what i've heard- i really don't claim to know ANYTHING at this point as this is all so new to me. I just don't want to make a regrettable choice. Thanks so much for making me feel welcome. So far my boy seems to be doing better since i started him on green smoothies- tons of fruit and veggies- takes a multivitamin plus omegas and probiotics for infants. He smiles and plays great- just every once in awhile twitches or holds his legs like they hurt. Has ezcema too. too many toxins. My baby girl is still on milk -shes only 6 months and has been struggling through some constipation and she eats a ton more lately too- Id love to believe they don't have it- but i'd rather be safe than sorry. Anyway they are much to young for harsh antibiotics at this point- i think they might benefit most from building up their little immune systems but i'd love to hear any advice from others with young children. I am thankful i am able to care for my kids still. I will do everything i have to so that i am able to care for them. I guess i should be glad at this point that my legs and arms work! lol. Thanks ahead of time for any advice. :)

Welcome!  Sorry about your situation and your children..  Must be really difficult for all of you.  I never had kids so I couldn't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be..

In any case, have you read Dr. Jernigan's book "Beating Lyme Disease?"..  It not, it's a great book filled with lots of information.   I would start with that.  Since his botanicals are all natural, I believe children can take them but to be sure I would first have a telephone consult with Dr. Jernigan and explain your situation to him.  I know he has treated many children with success.

Traveler, you don't know how encouraging that is to me. I spent a little time reading some of your posts and i think people like you and deejavu make this burden so much lighter! You helped me remember that life goes on despite illness. I am often filled with anxiety over my situation but i have heard of others making it and intend to do the same. I WILL overcome this for my kids. And somehow we will be okay. It is overwhelming but I believe there is a reason for everything- even if it makes no sense at this present moment! LOL

I am on Zhang´s protocol since a few weeks and I am feeling great better.I am taking Allicin ( Garlic), Houttuynie 2 and Circulation P.

Dr.Zhang wrote a book about his protocol. The protocol can heal 60% of the patients and 20% are feeling with the protocol better, but they have to take the plants constantly otherwise they have relapses.
