Hello-
I've been going around in circles with my health for years now. I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, Celiac Disease, and Adrenal insufficiency (possibly Addison's). For 3 years, I've been going doctor to doctor being treated with the various hormones plus went gluten free for over a year and no improvement in health. Which led me to a lyme diagnosis in July by Igenex.
I've been working with a LLMD here in Wisconsin since then. He started me on augmentin just to see how I'd respond. Things went fine, he switched me to Clarithyrmicin....I began having pretty bad back pain and joint knee pain, which were new symptoms for me. I bought a home portable infrared sauna and have been sitting in that daily. He then increased the Clarithyrmicin to 500mg twice a day.....now added Doxy 200mg a day. I think the Doxy is causing nausea even when I take it with food, unless that's a herx symptom?
I'm frustrated that I haven't had a major Herx reaction or seen much improvement. We think I've had this for years since it has caused these autoimmune diseases I have. I know this is going to take time, but it seems like I should be noticing something good or bad by now. I've been told I'm really on low dose meds.
Is there anything else I can do in the meantime? I see him again in November. He told me to hold these 2 abx at these doses until then. I just don't know what to expect or how to help myself get better faster.
My symptoms are: severe fatigue, sleep problems, hair loss, hormonal imbalances, mood disturbances, light/sound/smell sensitivity, constipation, now joint knee pain.....I'm sure there are more!
Thanks for reading and any input.
