Hi everyone,

Just got results back from my daughters Quest Diagnostics Lab for Lyme.

Need help with this please....I am freaking out not only because she is

positive but she is also pregnant....OMG!!

She has IGM 23 Reactive

              IGM 41 Reactive

She has IGG 41 Reactive

              IGG 58 Reactive

What is the IGG 58 mean is that lyme or a co-infection???

I too had 21 and 43 band reactive, they said it's mostly Lyme's (from the forum) here. I can't be much help, I'm learning myself. I know my doctor suggest Igenics test that checks thoroughly for Lyme's and co infections, it cost $660 out of pocket. I will monitor your post and my post was Igenics Test if you want to follow, just to see if people from here recommend more testing. Thanks and best of luck to both of us. Linda

I have 23, 39, 41 myself and have been treating lyme for almost 2yrs now.
I had an idea that my daughter had it and asked the doctor for a test when
she went in for a strep throat test. Of course I got grief from the doctor about
the test but made him do it anyway, good thing I did. She is positive and now
she is 3months pregnant.

I not sure on the IGG 58 band if that is Lyme or a Co-infection?????

All help will truly be appreciated

How are you being treated for Lyme's? Do you feel better and what were your initial symptoms? Did you go many years without being dignoised properly and did you have a bullseye rash? Thanks Linda

I have been biten all my life from ticks, but the one that made me sick I think was the one that
I pulled off my head in 2003. Did not get sick right away and never had the bullseye rash.
I didnt start getting sick until I was stressed from starting a new job at the end of 2005 and
son broke his leg a few months after I started the new job.

My daughter had the bullseye rash this summer after being bit and has been sickly off and on all summer.
I gave her some of my Doxy I had left over and she as a teenager didnt take it like she was supposed to. (I could wring her neck for that..lol)

I did go undiagnosed until I had a positive lyme test in March of 2008 and have been treating lyme
every since. I also found out I have Babesia (co-infection) so right now I am just treating the coinfection
and then back to treating lyme after its gone. Its harder to treat lyme when you have a coinfection. So those
are the most important to treat first.

I actually feel better than I did in the begining.
In the begining I couldnt walk, I could not hardly talk or say what I wanted. Of course there were so many symptoms then.

I feel so bad to say this because I know there are so many that have a hard time sleeping, but I do not have that problem
anymore. I do have swollen lymp nodes in my neck and legs, pain in spine and from my hips down. I still have a symptoms
of disorientation, I dont have great balance, my mind if foggy, I have anxiety that comes out of nowhere.

Wow you sure have been through a lot, I'm sorry we all have to stuggle, it seems unfair most of the time! I never saw a tick on me personally. We went camping out West when I was young and I was petting my dog in the car and saw a hug tick and my mom burned its butt and it pulled it head out. Maybe touches it I got something I dont know. I too, under ALOT OF STRESS, at work, to the point of making myself sick with fear. Before this years of panic attacks. My symptoms are all gut related. Ulcers in my colon, bleeding, diarreah, pus, bloating and being on the toilet for over a hour every morning. I have candida problem too that I'm dealing with. I went yeast free for 2 days, third day a better poop, but fell off the wagon and now trying again. It's hard as hell eating now sugar, bread, juice or fruit! I had to of the bands as you know to be reactive, no one around me believes it could be Lyme's. I'm getting a more indepth test done next week Monday. Here's to better health for us! Linda

Is your daughter on antibiotics? If her WB test is positive, it's very important that she be put on antibiotics because Lyme can be passed to the fetus. I think they give pregnant women with Lyme amoxicillian. Please get her in to a Lyme doctor ASAP!

Here is a breakdown of the WB bands:

22 specific for Bb, probably really the 23/25 band
