My NP recommended to do the
Igenics test for Lyme's with co-infections, is this a good test to go by? Then I'm to take it to a Lyme's specialist. I told him that some of you said the band 23KD and 41KD could mean a positive for the bactiera Bartonella, I had to tell him, he didn't know and so he changed his mind and said yes it could mean Lyme's. Do you all still feel 23KD and 41KD means something with Lyme's?
Anways, this Igenics test cost $660 and I guess it's not covered by medical insurance. He said my chances of having Lyme's is 60% percent, ....he doesn't really know. I feel he's guessing at this. I do appreciate the fact he says he doesn't know how to treat Lyme's though and referred me to a specialist, which by the way I already have an appt with in December.
Do you have to fast for it? I forgot to ask the nurse.
Thank you again for all the help (((hugs))), more info I have to take with me to the specialist the better.
Also he said I have two bacteria, Chlamydophila Pneumoniae is one of them, it says Past Infection on my test results any comments on this or is this a common bacteria?
