this is the first time I have heard to avoid vitamin c - why would using vitamin c cause the lyme to form cysts? I have not heard or read of this before.
Pepphell - you definitely want to eat with that doxy! I eat almonds/ nuts (avoiding peanuts - which are not only goitrogens, but nasty- known for mold contamination, etc), dark chocolate (minimum 70%), hard boiled eggs, brown rice, good fats (coconut oil, real butter, etc). If you are going to eat fruits, go for the low glycemic as suggested; blueberries, apples, etc. and vegtables should be ones that are more nutritous, asparagus, spinach, etc over potatoes and corn, etc. Most importantly take probiotics! I do still eat "sugar", mostly natural as I have listed and haven't had any problems.
Do you/ Can you, eat yogurt? If you do, I would strongly suggest greek yogurt for your proteins (with blueberries if you want) - keeping the sugar load down, but protein and probiotics up.
