nasa, herx or no herx, feeling good is always a great news. what dose of doxy were you taking? and did you have any co-infections? because I read that doxy is inadequate for most co-infections.
Hi pepphell,
Yes, I'm really herxing right now for sure, my symptoms are mostly neuro so far. So I'm not feeling good anymore!
I do have some increase in pain that makes me think that the weird bout of abdominal pain I had recently that put me in the hospital might have just been
Lyme doing something! Is that possible?
I'm on 200 mg of doxy twice a day, so 400 mg total per day. I don't know yet about
co-infections; they're testing me for them (at Igenex). So I'll find out at my next appt with my LLMD in March.
How are you doing?
Take care,
JoAnnHey nasalady,
This is one of the many cruel things about
Lyme, it gives you an occasional "good day" followed by some rough days. You may notice your symptoms flare for periods of time. For me I have a flare once a month that lasts anywhere from two days to a week.
Abdominal pain, rib pain, nausea, GI issues were some of my earliest, and most difficult symptoms. Yes Lyme, and other co infections such as Bartonella, Ehrilichiosis will cause these symptoms.
Well I hope you have another "good" day soon!!
Best wishes
