numb scalp

does anyone know if numb scalp is a symptom of lyme or co-infection?
i've also had numb hands during sleep. (when i wake up i realize my hands are numb, or my numb hands cause me to wake up)


Over the last few days, the scalp (left side) has been going numb a lot for like a 1min (feels like there is no blood flow or some electricity is passing thru).

what is going on?

Yes, I have had both these symptoms. They have disappeared with treatment. Just a bit alarming, though.

I am being treated for Lyme and Ehrlichia.
You know, I thought I would never forget all the abx I have taken, but it's getting to be such a long list.
I had a worsening of the numb hands and scalp weirdness when I was last on Clarithromyacin and Mepron. Now that I am on Flagyl, that and all my other neurological symptoms have gone away. My llmd also encouraged me to take B12 to help nerve repair.

As I understand it from some of the reading I've done, the neurological symptoms aren't a side effect of the medication, but are because the lyme bacteria uses part of the nerve sheath to build its defenses. The body attacks the bacteria clad in your nerve material and then attacks your own nerves, too, because it can't tell the difference. Someone correct me if I didn't get this right.
