The reason we don't give names on the forums is because sometimes other doctors who don't agree with aggressive antibiotic treatments will sometimes report the doctors for this and they get in trouble for not following the IDSA guidelines for treatments. The IDSA doesn't believe in chronic lyme disease nor do they believe in long term antibiotic treatments. You can read more about this controversy at the two links I provided you below.

Yes I know about the LYme contraversy that is why i didn't type in his full name.

Patti, I don't think its easy to find out who he is cause I have purposely tried to search for him cant find him.....and I know his last name and specialty. If the moderators think I should change the post then i will of course.

Maybe the moderator will tell you how to enable it. I don't have time to figure it out or I would be glad to explain it to you. For now, just go ahead and email me at [email protected]. He's a good doctor, however, he is relatively new in lyme practice. He and his wife had lyme disease and that's what got him interested in treating it, especially after seeing there was such a great need for more LLMD's. He treat's according to Dr. B's guidelines and, for the most part, is pretty knowledgeable about treating this disease. He lacks knowledge in some of the natural stuff such as toxin removal and stuff like that, but he does have a basic list of supplements he recommends. He treats aggressively with abx and will make adjustments according to your needs.

My wife relapsed after being treated by Dr. C in MO for less than two years. She then went to Dr W and got treated with abx for 8 months and fully recovered again. I was not helped by abx, but that was no fault of Dr. W. My body does not handle abx well, they literally tore up my stomach, plus I had bad reactions to many of them.

Some people can't handle abx well and have to use alternative treatments such as herbal treatments or homeopathic treatments such as what I'm on. I was recently on a two week treatment protocol at the Hansa Center by Dr. J and am doing amazingly well now. Hey Gary.....someone from another forum had already sent me the info before I got back here. Thanks for your help. Guess I will have to start saving money for all of this.

Junkyardwilly....do you mind posting your docs website? maybe one day things will change and all docs will do that. I have seen other doctors online who are very forthcoming in their views on Lyme and testing.

Thanks Willy! Its ok....I found him and his website. Thank you for the information! I have actually found a doc that is only three hours from me so I could make a day trip! First I'm gonna talk to my local doc about testing me and treating me.. Hey it doesn't hurt to ask right? If they wont..then yeah I'm gonna pursue seeing an LLMD. Thanks again for the info :)
