tips on how to unplug ears???

My ears have been plugging up with lots of wax lately, and I am pretty sure it has something to do with my meds. its getting painful and I can't hear ANYTHING. I have to take a trip and fly cross country because a close family member of mine just passed away yesterday.

Any tips on how to clean out your ears quickly???? My doctor said if I can't get this under control, I can't fly and I will miss the funeral and that is just not an option!

Hydrogen peroxide often helps. You can pour a bit in your ear (make sure you are laying down)and you will hear it making a crackling sound(it is a bit freaky, but it works) it will loosen up the wax and make it soft enough to get out. Some will come out when you tip your head the other way, some will come on a q-tip.
