Seeing an Infectious Disease Doc

in a few weeks. I don;t think he is LLMD but its a start. My PCP has been seeing me for the Lyme symptoms I have been having. Of course, my Lyme test (ELISA, I am sure) came back neg. And she contacted this Infect. Disease doc who agreed to see me....BUT he already told her he thinks we are dealing with a Negative Lyme....so I am going into this appt already feeling defensive. I have 2 pics of the "spider bite" on my leg from last year and an extensive list of the symptoms I have been having since then to bring to the appt. So hopefully he will be open minded. I hate going to a doctor where I feel I have to "prove" my symptoms and convince them something is wrong.

To add to my huge list of symptoms, I now have developed a head tremor, not noticeable to anyone but me. My head will jerk to the left all throughout the day. It is slight but it is definitely a tremor in which I have no control of. Also in my peripheral vision on my left side I have a thick white flash of light for about 2 seconds. THis happens throughout the day. Its annoying, not painful but there is for sure a strange sensation when the flash happens. It is only on my left side.......

You may want to reconsider. I wasted almost a year with an infectious disease dr. While he was very nice and did treat me, they have a totally different view on lyme treatment and its ability to be longstanding and chronic. An LLMD will test for coinfections which is so important and incorporate supplements and herbs that most infectious disease drs. do not. If he is telling you you are negative for lyme, see an LLMD. They won't treat you if they do not believe you have lyme.
