Now this is interesting. I really
thought I had good vision! During my whole year of symptoms leading up to my self diagnosis of Lyme, I never considered that my vision might be askew at all.
My tennis instructor always felt otherwise-- constantly nagging me to get my vision and especially my depth perception checked. True...the 'ball' did seem like a blur at times and I was often swinging at balls I could not really focus on, but "Nay, nay" I would say in defence of myself, " I can see FINE... a blurry ball whizing by is just the nature of the game!"
Well....after 3 weeks on the Doxy and feeling like utter crap most of the time , I did venture out today to play tennis again (last week was a disaster-- dizzy couldn't hit a thing) but I felt pretty good today, even though elbows and ankle are still a PAIN....BUT.....
...... unbelievably, my vision (which I thought was FINE) was sooooooo much better than it has been in a year! It was like I was seeing the tennis ball for the first time EVER! Crystal clear! I could actually follow the ball all the way to my racquet, watch it HIT my strings and then fly away across the net.
I could focus!!!! OMG! It was a miracle. I certainly wasn't looking for vision improvement, so I know it wasn't merely wishful thinking that made it happen. It truly was noticable!
Could my vision really have been that OFF this past year due to TBD? I never considered the possibility. Can this happen?
