Please help looking for LLMD in New Jeresey (north NJ near long valley nj)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey im 19 my symptoms started of june last year i started getting headaches every day strange anxiety every day then in july thats when things got ridiculous. I got red eyes one day had a wierd irritating sensation in my head the whole day fetlt reallly weak and lethargic a few weeks after that i started getting night sweats sweaty hands and feet, frequent urnation, and i cant foucus on anything. Then the next month i was told i was hyperthyroid but i really wasnt my doc lied to me , the next month i ended up getting contant headache pressure in my forhead. Now my symptoms are heating up during the day, weightloss, constant head pressure, pain in joints, slightly tight felling right under chin (not lower neck) dry eyes, leaky gut,feeling of being disconected, anxiety, server depression, insomnia, chest pain from reality, small transparent floaters, eye flashes, constipation, rectal itching at night, metal taste on tounge, numb tounge and teeth slight hearing loss, feeling dizzy, hands feel tight sometimes, crackling bones, burning feeling in legs when sleeping and so many others i cant remember. I feel so bad i feel like im gona die every day. I got tested through a quest diagnostic lab all antibodies came out negative and not enough positive bands to be diagnostic for lyme. I have heard those tests arent accurate and the igenix test is suppose to be more accurate. My doc put me on doxy for two weeks 100mg during these two weeks i felt worse i got even more sick and the doxy did not get rid of my constant headpressure. i was told to stop taking the antibiotic by my doc and he does not believe i have lyme and will not offer any antibotics so my only choice is to see a LLMD. I have had so many tests done and it has to be lyme and co infections that is wrong with me beacuse i have all the symptoms for lyme. my vison seems like it is warping or twrling for a min every few minutes. someone please help me out on here i feel so bad. I am on some suppliments right now that i got Vitamin C, empower multivitamin,chlorella, japanese knotweed, cats claw, sarsaprilla, magnesium, selinium reshi mushroom, crapaki mushroom and cordicype, It would be great if someone could help me find a doctor who will treat me who takes AETNA insurance.

Hello- I'm new here, but I'm seeking as much info as I can find. I've been suffering for YEARS with Lyme-like symptoms. I'm now 33 years old, but have felt sick since childhood. No doctor has ever come up with anything besides the diagnosis everyone seems to be getting- CFS, FM, hormone stuff like PMDD, etc. Every med I've been on has made me worse. Pain killers and sleep meds give me major hangovers and I have to eat the most insanely healthy diet imaginable or else suffer from endless migraines, neck pain and back pain. I'm looking for help.

I just had bloodwork done through Quest Diagnostics and the doc says I'm negative for lyme. My understanding is that this is typical for lyme positive folks to get negative tests results. My doc said he was ordering a Western Blot based on my symptoms, but I haven't actually seen the paperwork yet to read what my results said. I keep reading about Igenex and how their testing is more accurate and sensitive- How would I get a test through Igenex? Is this something I need a dr to order or can I pursue this independently? I'm assuming most health insurance doesn't cover this companies blood tests?

I currently live outside Trenton, NJ- so achievinggrace, I'm going to send you a private email about a doctor recommendation. I've done a bit of searching in the last few days online and I just don't know how to find a reliable LLMD without knowing someone who can tell me doctor is trustworthy and worth pursuing.

Just some info on me- I grew up on Schooley's Mountain up in Morris County on 2 acres of grassy land that backed into a line of trees set in front of a young forest. I spent my every spring/summer day out there in the woods and on it's border eating wild berries, building forts and seeing how close I could get to baby deer before they'd run. This was my place of solitude... my hiding place, if you will... basically, a tick's paradise. So if not for my symptoms alone, I have good reason to believe that there is a high likelihood that I've been infected at SOME point in my life.

A diagnosis would seriously change my life. For years I was labeled "lazy" or "unmotivated" by family while every doctor imaginable told me to just eat healthy and exercise and my every worry would disappear. I've struggled with back and neck issues, migraines, intense fatigue, serious insomnia (feels like weird spikes of unexplained adrenalin shoot through me waking me constantly), mental fog, memory lapses, weird shooting pains in my head, increasing anxiety without reason, heart palpitations, crazy PMS, insanely painful periods and just all around lack of ability to cope with life.

I just want an answer to this never-ending nightmare. So any advice anyone has on how to proceed would be wonderful.

I do love your name! I lived much in the same way as you, and had much the same response from these unknowledgeable docs!! Achievinggrace gave some really great info!! I truly hope that you can get in to see her doc soon!

As she suggested, it would be incredibly helpful for you to read the "New to Lyme?" thread, and we have a great search function so that you can look up past posts directly related to the specific search terms you enter!

The few symptoms that you listed combined with the exposure to ticks that you have had, would sure make me think that tick-borne infections were the cause!!! Hang in there! We are here to help you find answers and give you some support as you go through this! Please feel free to post your questions and to share your experiences with us!!

Something else I would like to suggest is that you start to detox. It's actually quite simple, you can find all of the instructions you need in the "New to Lyme?" thread, about the third post down, I believe.

As far as medications go, I've never been on an antibiotic for my symptoms- just birth control, SSRI's, prescription sleep drugs, etc. I've hesitated big time to try any of the fibromyalgia drugs. Having had major set backs from trying all of the above list (each has made me take another health dip), putting something even stronger with a more severe list of known side effects just feels too risky at this point. Plus, I know how sensitive I am to even pain killers, I just don't want to play with putting chemicals in my body anymore unless I know for certain what it is treating.

I'll definitely read through all the newbie info- thank you! I'll also look into the detoxing you mentioned, though I'm not sure it's too different from what I've done/been doing. Since March I've been off all meds besides painkillers when menstrual cramps get beyond manageable (but I pay for that with headaches and bloating for days...). I did a several day juice fast followed by about 1 month of eating 80% raw with no meat, dairy, gluten, sugar, preservatives, msg, etc. I still eat that way now when home (plus fish, oatmeal and cooked veggies), though I've found it too hard to keep up with when out, so probably 1-2 times per week I eat chicken/beef or small quantities of cheese/wheat outside my house. I felt moderately better during March while on the strict diet (I did it while away for a month alone in NC... I couldn't possibly maintain it at home with husband and 6-year-old needing to eat)- it seems to lessen aches and pains, thought it doesn't help the fatigue, mental fuzziness, forgetfulness, etc. at all, and it increased the heart palpitations (maybe iron deficiency? though now I'm on iron pills...). Being away for a month did help me fall asleep faster (maybe less stress? or maybe the diet?), but didn't help me stay asleep as I was still waking up from what feels like electrical impulses shooting through my head/body randomly causing a sort of twitch.

Anyways, sorry for all the info. If anything strikes you as being one thing or another, your thoughts would be much appreciated! In the meantime, a doctor recommendation in central NJ/bucks county PA would be wonderful- at least that would give me a place to start!

In addition to all the dietary stuff, I take vitamin B complex, sublingual b12, iron, vitamin c, calcium/mg, fish oil, st. john's wort, and MSM. Not sure what is helping what if anything at all.
