Hi,

I see Dr. Ledtke too, what protocol and how long was it that you felt cleared of Lyme's? Also, how were you tested? I had the Igenex testing done.

I see you have UC as well, do you think the Lyme's caused that or were you dx after the UC? I was dx after I was told I had UC. I've had UC for 6 years and a year ago told I had Lyme's. Dr. Ledtke can't tell me if there are connected. Did he help you with your UC? If so how?

Did you ever do IV of antibiotics or just all oral or injections?

Thanks for getting back to me. It's not so much anymore of the lyme's that gets me down it is the UC that is so terrible. Did you ever get into remission? Normal complete stools with no inflammation or blood or urgency or pain?

No need to delete the post, therearemiracles. Maybe someone else can help?

I do believe that I have read that LD can 'bring on' (in a sense) UC. Here is a link to an interesting article about Lyme, UC and Chrons Disease:

Thanks Traverler, I appreciate it. I just read the post of losing friends from this dis-ease and it makess me so sad. Unfortunatly it's true and I think that is why it's made me sad. Hugs to you for helping out. If all of us could get together, live near each other, we would all be the best of friends, but for now, long distance will have to do :)

You're welcome! smilewinkgrin and my heart goes out to you! I can't imagine living with the mess of Lyme and UC.

I posted once (a while back), that we needed to find an island where we Lymies could all go & stay while we were in treatment - I sure wish I could find such an island!!!

If I were rich I would go to a resort, retreat where they make you food, because I need to be on SCD for a year to heal the gut and detox and get massages and all the excercise and yogas classes, all I need is the cash.....:) my mind and body are willing to go.

I saw Ledtke and I am Deaconfrost who posted last night. He gave me oral antibiotics to start with high doses of doxycycline as well as a number of other meds. What does UC stand for?

UC stands for Ulcerative Colitis. It's a condition that quite a few Lymies have, although not caused by Lyme necessarily. Studies are being done about a possible connection though.

It's something I am soooooo very thankful I don't have to live with - although my mother does.
