Hey hun. I saw on your signature that you are taking sulfasalazine for UC. I was put on it for RA and just had a complete mental herx. It was very bad and I was so depressed. I am just starting to feel better now, but I stopped taking it two weeks ago. Have you had anything similiar happen since it does have antibiotics in it?

When I started the sulfa I got bad headaches, now I take two twice a day. I take Lauricidin, a ton of Natren's probiotics in pill and powder forms, so I'm trying to combat yeast the best I can.  How much are you taking a day? I also get a weekly shot and I think this gives me yeast problems but amazingly enough I don't get vaginal problems at all. It sounds like your at a good turning point.

I was taking it twice a day. It was also tearing up my stomach. I couldn't take all of the side effects especially the severe depression, so I stopped taking it. I had noticed an increase in headaches too. I already have enough of those. Now, to tell my Rheumatologist this and hope he doesn't think I am crazy since he really doesn't believe I have Lyme Disease.

Silly or should I say stupid me, on Saturday I drank after taking them and I got voilently sick! Never again and I still feel like crap besides the embarrassment of having to leave a party early.
