Lyme? What? I originally searched "too fatigued to breathe" in the Google search engine and I got your page. Last night I was just lying there. I get heart palpitations a lot, more and more and more lately. I think I was getting like fifteen an hour at work, it was ridiculous! Last night I was just lying there and I suddenly felt overwhelmed with fatigue. It felt like I didn't have enough chemical energy to breathe or for my heart to keep beating, and it felt like I was just trying to like, will myself to have the energy to keep doing both of those things.

I have fibromyalgia and heart palpitations and trouble breathing are common symptoms. But this drain of energy was absolutely frightening. I wonder if there's more to this than meets the eye? Last night I was finally able to get some sleep knowing I would wake up in the morning, because I felt some sort of release... I felt like I was fighting for my life, and that I was so determined to live that suddenly I had a wave of energy pass over me, and I felt tired, but rested instead of 'running out batteries'. I felt like I was breathing well for the first time in weeks. Even my heart was working normally. Of course, when I woke up, I have that heavy feeling and palpitating in my chest again and it's hard to get a full breath - but that's how I normally feel, having fibromyalgia. Last night was not feeling like it was hard to open my lungs at all - just that I hadn't had any energy to. It was sooooooo weird! I'm going to see the doctor today!
