Hi Screaming Eagle!
I am so sorry that you had a need to even ask such a question! Although you are right to be concerned!!
Since ticks can 'dispense' their nasty poison with less than a 2 hour attachment, it would most likely be a good idea to have it tested- if you still have the tick. I believe Igenix (
www.Igenex.com) does tick testing.
Since you live in the midst of all of those trees, it would be a good idea for you to read through the sticky at the top of the forum titled, "New to Lyme?...Start here!", as it has info that will explain what all to watch for when you do have a tick attach.
Watch for a rash - of any kind - not just the bullseye rash. Although only about
40% of those infected ever have a bullseye rash, about
60% report
a rash. Then the list goes on for symptoms. Each person's set of symptoms is about
as unique as their body is, so your 'set' of symptoms may not be the same as others.
If you decide you should see a doc about
this, please let us know, as you will need to see a specialist - an LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor) not an Infectious Disease doc or a Rhuemy. Also please be sure to let us know how you are doing when you have time, seeing as you too are a Mod here on HW!
Of course, should you have any more questions, please ask!
