Are there ILADS Doctor lists per state?

Hi--running out of research time today, is there by any chance a list of LLdoctors practicing in each state that is easy to get to? I'd be CA of course and closest zips to me would be 95603 or 95678 (I could access either town--closer to 95603) Thanks for help!!;-)

If you would like a list of ILADS doctors may I suggest you go to ilads.org and they will give you a list of their doctors in your area.

Thanks Lymester n Cheezhead,....unfortunately, i'm a "ward of the state"..my finances dove with life circumstances, and my self employment of course means no insurance...could not even afford out of pocket bluecross, monthly....I'm going to see any private dc I arrive at out of pocket and pay and I go....my entire adult life spent embracing alternative methods of healing, and shunning conventional. I'm also going to really try and boost my immunity, as i think thats another plus.

just did my 3 per month allowable Doc search at the ILADS doctor referral site, to get references too far from me, to "go there". Will do some sniffing about, call health food stores, get out the directory, etc. I have to go local, when i do go. I'd say this without a doubt....it would be a great career choice to specialize in as if anything, it appears it has advanced with alarming speed since it was "discovered". It has been largely out of the news here---much more emphasis placed on mosquito control, where I am (not that that is bad) due to west nile disease.

I am new to this site and just noticed this post.

Does anyone have suggestions for LLMD's in new mexico? I'm in Santa Fe, but could go to Albuquerque as well.

CAkid, I hope you were able to find someone helpful in the Bay Area.

I grew up in Berkeley and would recommend Dr. Marci Shapiro in Berkeley. She is an MD who does both holistic natural medicine and some pharmaceuticals. Not sure if she specializes in Lyme, but she's knowledgeable about tricky autoimmune disorders and chronic illness. There is also a homeopathist in her office, last I was there.

I am so sorry that you have a need to be here, but I am sure glad you found us!

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled, "New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information and informative links that have been put together by our members here! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts.

We don't give out Dr's names - usually only applies to LLMD's though - but I wanted to give you the head's up on that one.

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at: [email protected]

You can also email Stephanie at: [email protected] You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm if you want to learn a little bit more about Lyme Disease.
