Well, I am literally a rocket scientist, but I sometimes surprise the heck outta myself how completelyt clueless I can be. Most here remember my treatment plan (meds) with the LLMD is Ceftin/Biaxin for 2 weeks, the Ceftin/Flagyl for 2weeks and repeat this in alternating fashion. Also, add cholestyramine(which I stopped for the time being due to tremendous reaction).
BUT, what a I totally zoned on was that my doc wanted me to get the following (to fight biofilms!):
=N-Aceytl-L-Cysteine (NAC)
=Enzymes: Serralase, Interfase Plus EDTA
=Bentonite Clay
The NAC is a precursor to Glutathione and helps punch holes in the biofilm. The enzymes are needed to enter the holes being punched into the BF, slice them open, and rip them apart. This is the way she explained it - this is what she calls the "POP" part of a POP and MOP strategy where you kill-off the organisms. All of these things are available over the counter. The "MOP" part of the strategy involves cleaning out the debris left behind and the toxins produced - for this she had prescribed the cholestyramine, bentonite clay and EDTA (already in the Interfase Plus). This is also where she recommended the coffee enemas (uggh)
So, I have left out a seemingly significant portion of my treatment. I think I was trying to absorb so much information the day I saw her that I thought the above were somehow integrated with the abx's. Well, I picked up some NAC at the Vitamin Shoppe today and ordered the enzymes on-line so hopefull I can begin everything early next week. I already use a product called AbsorbMoreToxins that contains bentonite clay and activated charcoal.
DUH! Has anybody seen this sort of treatment regimen before???
