I just went to my doctors to pick up the blood test results from when I was diagnois, If someone could help me understand them I would appreciate it On B. Burgdorferi AB(IGG) Negative but on B Burgdorferi AB (IGM) Positive A, On 13 Bands , two tested reactive. Is this the strength of the Lyme?I also tested High on the mono test Is this common? Is there anything else I should look at on this test to give me a clue of what is going on

It was done at my GP office also my Vit D 25-OH D2 was low, the Rheumatoid factor was low a 5, to start I have Thalesemma B Minor, which is a fancy name for anemia. There are other levels that are off to what should I be looking at?

Hey Jessica,

I read in some of your other posts about your eye problems and I have a lot of similar stories. I was hoping you would be open to emailing me or messaging me. I would appreciate asking you a few questions as well learning more about your story. My LLMD has mentioned a few thing about the vision stuff that has seemed to have helped.

Can you post what bands were reactive? Some bands are specific to Bb. IGG usually means old infection and IGM recent or active infection. Anything else at all abnormal? It is very common for mono to come back high.

But in the setting of Lyme, it doesn't matter whether the IgG or IgM is positive - both are usually indicative of active infection because of the way the Lyme bacteria play with the immune system...
