Wow, this describes to a T what I was dealing with for years, especially the vision "after images", horizontal lines especially. If I look even briefly at venetian blinds that are closed but have light coming in between the slats, I will see the horizontal lines if I close my eyes or see the pattern superimposed on anything I look at for a few minutes afterwards. Essentially any visible pattern imprints itself on my vision for a few minutes. Yes trying to explain that to a PCP makes you sound ridiculous, but lyme loves the eyes and brain so I really don't understand the confusion. What do these doctors think an infection of the CNS will do for crying out loud?
What you said about
the horizontal blinds is exactly what happens to me too. I can't believe somebody else experiences such an unusual problem. I don't know about
you but for me it's only when they are closed like you mention... I don't get this effect if they are
open. I don't really even need to look at them, more like a quick glance and they bleed into the wall as I look away and then remain in my vision for a period of time.
Is this something that has gotten better for you with treatment?
Thanks for your responding and giving me some advice... I really do appreciate it. Thanks to you too achievinggrace!
