Started antibiotics thursday thought I was going to be getting away easy again as I did with me last times but I am thinking since i have had Lyme for about 25 years the first antibiotics did not help to fight it so much. I am not seeing a Lyme doctor and I believe now I am getting a taste of what herxing is about. Had issues with pain everywhere before but not this bad all over!! Vicondin is not doing crap :( It started yesterday afternoon. What has helped you to feel better during this time and how long did you feel this bad? Doctor said to increase fluids and rest. I'm doing my best right now but I have 3 chidlren to take care of and can't have someone take them all the time. thank God their grandma has them right now. This just down right sucks and I am normaly a pretty positive person :-(

You said you are 'not' seeing a lyme dr. Did you mean to say you are 'now' seeing a lyme dr?

I haven't had it near as long but I know people will be on here to tell you to remember to detox like crazy because you must have a lot of the die off going on. I'm sure they will also give you ideas on what to do for more severe pain relief.

I can imagine how hard it is to have to take care of kids etc when feeling so bad. It sounds like at least you are on the road to feeling better anyway.

One thing that might help along the way is to eat very healthy, like avoiding glutens and sugar etc. I know it has helped me for sure.

Yeah should of read over before posting I am seeing a Lyme doctor now. And I am on a very strict diet not eating sugar or gluten or anything thing high in carbs or startches. I will do more detoxing stuff. And thanks I really hope so too! And I hope to hear from others that have gone or are going through this too.

Hi Love,

I started new meds 3.5 weeks ago and have been herxing pretty good. Except for my dizziness, it seems to be leveling off somewhat but the first week was horrible for me. Sound sensivity, shooting pains, numbness/tingling sensation back on my face under left eye, twitching, trembling....just are so some of the few. But, it is trting to get better.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well -- but it sounds like your meds are working so that's good.

If you go to the top of the Lyme forum, there is a thread entitled, "New to Lyme, start here". In there is a section on detoxing. Even the simplest things suggested there will help you feel better. Remember -- detoxing is just as important as taking your medicine. It will make all the difference in your recovery.

Please remember that the drinking lemon water and the dry skin brushing is as important as the detox baths!!
