Going to start rifing again today... and some rambling

I seem to have gotten "over the hump" with my herxing after having started my new ABX about 4-5 weeks ago (Zithro and Rifampin). I still have some issues (like tingling in my big toe yesterday and some random other things but I think that today it's time I started back up with my rifing.

I'll report on how this goes. I haven't done it in quite a while! Also, I had gone to my general MD 10 days ago for my neck/shoulder pain. As I haven't seen here in over two years, she knew nothing of my MS scare and subsequent lyme dx. She wanted me to drop off all my MRI reports and stuff which I did. I see her today at 10am for a follow-up. I am very interested to hear what she thinks of all this.... I'm kind of scared actually that she may still keep MS on the table.

My brother-in-law who lives in NJ has been having numerous health issues for many years. Last week, he suddenly was numb from his waist up. Was admitted to the hospital and they think he may have MS. The irony of all this is that I just went through all of this but at least he has me to talk to since I can totally relate to what he is going through. On Monday, I ordered an Igenex test kit to be sent to him. I am praying that he tests positive for Lyme as I think this is the lessor of two evils. Any prayers going his way would be much appreciated.

Wow. It seems everyday I meet someone who mentions someone to me with a mystery illness that resembles lyme. I know of at least ten people off the top of my head in my immediate neighborhood. Thank goodness he does have you. When my husband got sick, despite me having lyme and my insistence that he may have it, he continued to believe the doctors until he hit a brick wall. It was only then, when the doctors dismissed his symptoms, that he agreed to consider. Best of luck to you. BTW they also told me I had MS and after 2 years of antibiotics, I am feeling great.

Springsjean: Excuse my memory, but I guess since they told you you had MS then you probably have brain lesions? I am only on oral ABX and I am kind of thinking that I should be on IV since I have neuro symptoms and lesions on my brain. Any thoughts on this? Are you on oral or iv?

Hi Jessica: Thanks for the info on the orals. I am just in a hurry to get better and get all this over with...ughhhh

Oh how I can sympathize with that! I would sooo love for this to be over with in short order for all of us!!! Please be sure to do your research on this - I don't believe that there is any scientific evidence that IV treatment works any faster than oral -but I could be wrong.

Speaking of rifing, I ordered mine yesterday and am getting excited to get it!
