Pain killers yay or nay?

I don't even bother with the prescription stuff anymore...just looking at it gives me an ulcer. I have this awful headache and I just took my first advil in like 6 months. I used to pop the stuff like candy for every little pain, but I rarely take anything for symptoms anymore. Just wondering if a lot of people take OTC stuff like this a lot. I assume it's another one of those bad for your liver things?

I'd also love to know why my head is pounding right now...since I rarely get headaches....But I don't think you guys can answer that one!

I still have to use the prescription pain killers - more than I like to even admit. For me, pain is something that undoes a lot of progress quickly. Advil and the like hardly ever touches the pain that gets to me the most. But if I don't take care of the pain it starts a whole chain reaction thing in my body- so no foolin around by me.

You are right to be concerned about your liver and your kidneys! They are already having to deal with the treatments that we must use - anything more is, well is more of a strain on them.

Detoxing, as Jessica suggested, is a good thing to try. I know that it can really help me. As the toxins build up in our livers it can cause headaches. So if you haven't been detoxing - or if you haven't been good about it lately - it just may be a way your body is telling you that it needs help.

The other thing that came to mind was exercise - only a small amount usually for me, but I walk on my treadmill for 20 minutes - without pushing myself- and then lay down for a bit in a dark room can do wonders some days!
