Visiting other forums and encouraging lyme testing...

Hi All,

I was poking around on the Fibro forum for a little bit.  I was wondering if any of you ever pop in on the other forums (the ones that we know Lyme mimics like Fybro, MS, etc) and suggest to people to be tested for Lyme?

I just wonder how many of these people that I read on are actually suffering from Lyme's and don't even know it.  I always remember back when I first started having the tingling and neuro stuff, logging on to an anxiety forum (I was at first told, like many of us, that my symptoms were anxiety).  Anyway, I remember being on an anxiety forum and seeing a post from some random guy suggesting that these feelings could be lyme. 

I just wonder if we should randomly pop in on these other forums and put our thoughts on there.  Gosh...if we could help even one person!!!!

Yeah, I only say anything if the person is particularly asking for input.

I have heard other forums discussing that it can be pretty annoying to have people just come onto their forum and start "selling" Lyme!

Yes, I used to feel that way after I would post about Lyme in the MS forum on Medhelp.

Just want to help others, and I'm sure that there are some with lyme that just don't know it.......

I peeked into the chrnic fatigue forum a few months ago and there were whole threads about the lyme so people are catching on. the internet is awsome.

and if you look at all the peeps that are reading our posts and not posting it is more and more everyday.

But the truth is I was on the Hep C forum for YEARS before I found out I had lyme and even looked in here.
