Argh!

Just noticed, my teeth are getting litte dark brown lines inbetween them.

I know that tooth discoloration can be a side effect of clarithromycin (biaxin), so that is probably the culprit.

Anyone know if it goes away when you stop taking the clarithro, or if a dentist can somehow bleach it?

Ugh, so hope this is reversible and not permanent!

I haven't had any experience with the abx, or teeth staining from any abx, but I do believe that it will go away once treatment with that abx is over. I would suggest you use our search function and enter the search terms "teeth stain". I did and it pulled up a bunch of posts dealing with this issue.

I had that too since starting abx, even grey spots that I thought would be permanent, but with a good cleaning from a dentist (mine happened to holisitic) all the spots and stains are gone!

Years ago when I was on Doxy my teeth turned dark grey, almost black and it was when I stopped the Doxy that my teeth returned to it's normal color.  To this day I have no idea why the Doxy did that but it did.

Today I used a tooth powder called Good Gums (I am not connnected with this company in any way) and it really helps whiten the teeth.  It's all natural and has great ingredients!
