Vibrating and Tingling today....

Ugh....

I am having a LOT of vibration in my left foot today, tingling under my left eye (which I haven't had in a LONG time) and a host of other lovely body tingles...

I wonder why????

I posted on another post about gluten, but after a year of being completely gluten free, I've been cheating a little... Could these be contributing...I just don't know.

I know it's not MS now but this always makes my anxiety go up.

Also, I was on 60 mg of Cymbalta but about a month ago, cut down to 30 mg and then ran out of that, so I've been taking the 60 mg ones I have, opening them up and trying to dump out half of the granules.... I am starting to wonder if I need to just go back on the 60 mg of Cymbalta because I know that Cymbalta helps with neuropathy type stuff....

Any thoughts anyone? I appreciate it.

I know magnesium helped with that tingling as well as Pinella for detoxing neuro-toxins.

I have the tingling and vibration symptoms. Sometimes it feels like a vibration is running through my nerves, other times it is just in my face.

I'm not familiar with Cymbalta. With the way Lyme is, I would guess it will probably last you a couple days and then disappear. I hope the vibration stuff passes quickly for you.

my own thoughts on the A/Ds - having tried nearly all of them over the years before I knew my condition to be Lyme is to NOT do them. The Lyme is affecting your neurotransmitters and causing them to be outta whack - this will get better with treatment. If you take an SSRI to try and modulate neurotransmitters that are out of whack for another reason, then when the Lyme is treated you then have 'corrected' your neurotransmitters to a different homeostatic state. Plus, those drugs are very hard to get off of once you are on them and can cause rebound depressions that are worse than the one you started with!.

You sound like the Type A person as I am. What has helped me the most, should you really want to take somethign for relief is very low dose xanax taken only as really needed. I think the reason it has indeed worked for me in the past is that it alleviates the artificial anxiety that I tended to overlay over my real symptomatic neurological stuff going on. This is all just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. But, if at all possible, try and stay away from the brain altering SSRIs until you see how the lyme treatment goes (all this, BTW, dovetails exactly to what my LLMD suggests)

Thanks Mike. Makes sense to me. Just having a rough day today and even feeling now a numb patch on my leg. Having symptoms today that I haven't had in a long time like the tingling on my left cheek under my eye...

My left cheek is what I feel the numbness in- all the way up to my left temple. The numbness stopped a few weeks after starting meds., but I still feel it come and go at times.

Fully understand. Been there done that many times. The anxiety that comes with this is overwhelming sometimes!

Detoxing is usually my secret weapon against tingling and vibrating sensations. Usually whenever I'm feeling especially uncomfortable I hope right into a foot bath and feel much better.

Hopefully it will pass soon enough. I've dealt with a ton of anxiety - all my life, but especially since starting treatment. Honestly I feel 50% better just not being anxious about every symptom, side effect, herx, etc. I know it's not easy at all, but for me, a low dose of ativan plus time helped alleviate that anxiety. I went through the worst of this wondering if I was going to die every single day. I didn't get through a week where I didn't consider going to the ER. I've experienced so much that at this point nothing really phases me that much. It's just become unpleasant, but I'm not scared or worried anymore.

Maybe try rationalizing with yourself a little. Remind yourself that you've experienced tons of strange and scary symptoms with Lyme and you've survived.

wow, I have bad luck with SSRi and everyone i know who takes zanax seems worse off then me. I tried a half zanax once and had the worst dream of something being shoved into the back of my skull. Like a 2x4.

I woke up in a panic.

I really don't like to recommend anyone take anything because I really am so over sensitive.

In 2004 I went on Lexapro and wow, I thought it was the greatest.
I went to eat Indian food for lunch by myslef one day in Hicksville, Long Island and had this mystical experience over some Tandorri curry chicken and mango Lasi. I went next door and book a trip to India.

Not only did I book it....I WENT. Nothing seemed like a more perfect idea to me in all my life. I was feeling SO good from that lexapro after being so sick forever, I really decided it was finally time to LIVE.

I got all way to India and found myself in a ball on the floor ,crashing my brains out because , of course, not only was I feeling great from the lexapro but I didn't need it anymore!! whammo!

I stayed in one ashram for a month wearing a maroon robe everyday and then went for another month to an Ayurvedic Research treatment center up in the hills where I was the ONLY patient other than one Malasian teenage boy who his father brought him there because he thought about sex too much.

Seriously, Carrie, I wouldn't ADD any other meds or even supplements
and definitely never open up ssri caps and try to split.

I really think you had a great news break through that you are so used to being so nervous from their origional MS thing that you may still be waiting for the other shoe to drop or something.

Zanax is addictive too. You are on your way OUT of the maze. You are
a good news story already.

My brother Vinnie had thos same symptoms, does not have lyme but worked in pizzarea where that flour was all over him and he was constantly sticking a cup under the fountian Coke.

Maybe take the gluetin away again. make a firm logical decision guided by a doctor on the Cymbalta or any of that stuff. Unless, of course, you've never been to India.

SSRIs affect everyone differently. Changing the dose might have something to do with it though - perhaps your body is going through some sort of withdrawal? I was on Cymbalta briefly and the withdrawal was pretty rough on me.

i have seen several posts about "vibrating" and i hadnt read them because i couldnt relate...or so i thought....but yesterday i was sitting in a chair outside and while i was talking on the phone...my ankle started "vibrating" like i had a bee inside my skin.....and all of the sudden i remembered the posts i had seen about vibrating and wondered is this the same sensation...lol.....is that what its like...a subtle feeling...like a bee is flying right up under your skin?
