hi guys! hope you are all enjoying the holidays! just finished finals at the university and am so relieved to be done!! :)
i mentioned on the forum that my doctor had his license suspended and this week i am running out of my second antibiotic. i was on biaxin for 3 months and omnicef for 2 months. im wondering if it is recommended to re-test using Igenex after a certain period of time? would the test be able to show improvement or worsening of the disease? i had my first test done in the beginning of september (at the time i had blood drawn i had been on biaxin for less than a week and had tried teasel in the summer). i guess im wondering if retesting now, 4 months later NOT on any antibiotics would show anything worthwhile.
my first test results: IFA titer 80= positive
IGENEX IGM positive, CDC negative. band 31ka IND, 41+, 58+, 83-93++
IGENEX IGG negative, CDC negative band 41 +, 83-93 IND
i also had a cd57 which came back at 55, at 3.9%. does it matter where i had this test done? i read something after having it done that said i should have it completed at labcorps, but i had mine at marshfield labs.
im still in the process of finding another llmd and deciding whether to continue with one that prescribes antibiotics or a natural route. i think a large part of me is still doubtful because i still have been having symptoms and it has been a year now! and ive seen over 30 different doctors of all specialties and they all disagree (between fibromyalgia, lyme...). i guess for me its hard to really believe one thing 100% when doctors you once trusted are telling you you dont have it. and i know i shouldnt be second guessing, but it really is hard not to without testing that is universally accepted. and maybe part of it is denial. i want to just wake up one morning and feel 21 years old like how i should be. :(
thanks for your opinions!
