Hi all!  I would like to find a LLMD.  I am in Edmonton Alberta. I hope to find a LLMD in Alberta or BC or even Sask.  I am going to Palm Springs for a week in Feb. so that area is even an option.  I would soooo appreciate any suggestions!

Hi. I am new here. I am looking for a llmd in Alberta, also. I am sure (so is my regular Dr.) that I have Chronic Lyme's but the first test came back negative so they refused to do the western blot on the spinal tap even though my Dr. requested it. The darn specialist I was sent to the first thing she says to me is "There is no Lymes in Canada" So my Dr. said if I can find someone that is Lymes literate, he will work with Dr. so he can get me the western blot.  Bite was end of May, 2011.  Thank you for any  help you can give me. Check the CanLyme website. They have lists of volunteers available in each province that should be able to direct you towards your closest ILADS recommended LLMD. I know there are none in Ontario, the College of Physicians and Surgeons shut them all down a couple of years ago. But I am now hearing that some naturopaths on the west coast have prescribing rights and are treating Lyme. Not sure if these folks are any good:

If you may be interested in gong a route other than an LLMD, may I suggest that you google 'calgary lyme clinic'? Doing this brings back a few different LLNDs that specialize in lyme treatment in the Calgary area.
