Reaction to meds vs a herx

I started my first doses of Doxy and Cipro last night, took my second dose this morning. Am feeling really anxious, my heart was fluttering, wanted to puke after breakfast. I did not have my usual coffee.

Driving in I found myself totally overwhelmed by the road and the other traffic and couldn't listen to music like I usually do. I feel so hyper sensitive and overwhelmed. Also have a headache starting.

I did write my LLMD, and she usually gets back to me quickly. Based on some comments from another poster, I am suspecting this is from the Cipro. I also don't think it is a herx, seems too fast.

Just wondering if others have any thoughts.

I just recently started treatment for Bartonella too. Though I am on rifampin,Doxy and Biaxim.  Biaxim I could not tolerate (so I am suppose to ease into that one until I don;t get sick ..go figure) My LLMD says this is highly effective treatment and to try to stick with it.  I do have questions about it too but I really think its herxing from die off

i too, am getting what I think is herxing from the die off (similar symptoms as you).  Its different than what I was going through previously when she started to treat my Lymes.  What really helps for me, though it may not seem like it, is multiple ways of detoxing and acupuncture. Gradually I am feeling better but sometimes feel like I am going backwards. If I can get a good nite sleep I do better (Magnesium helps for me).
