Hi Everyone,

My daughter and I have been diagnosed with lyme. We are seeing an LLMD, but I thought it would be in our best interest to get a second opinion about treatment options, etc. If you know of anyone that you can recommend for a 2 year old and an adult, I would appreciate it. We are in NNJ, but are willing to travel for a great doctor.

Welcome to the forum.

Hope you have had a chance to look at our "New to Lyme?" thread. It has a lot of info and resources that can be of great help.

I will email you my doctor's info. However, I would caution you on the wisdom of seeking out a second opinion. Apart from the obvious expense, I think you will find that every LLMD has their own "style" or approach to treating Lyme. Their protocols will, without doubt, be not only different, but may even clash. But they will get you to the same place.

What is most important is that you trust your doctor and see steady improvement.

It breaks my heart to hear of anyone with Lyme but doubly so for the little ones! I hope you and your daughter are well soon.

My daughter got really sick up at college in Aug. Has had positive bloodwork for Lymes, rmsf, bartonella,babesia and mono. she is really sick and was in the hospital for this weekend and was aloud to leave to go to a lyme specialist..Dr. M

We traveled three hours and were very happy with him.. He takes all insurance and even state insurance.. If you are not in his network you can get an out o network refferal and your primary doctors office can do all the referrals. He told my daughter had to be on a gluten free diet- no sugar or caffeine- no dairy ( can have duck eggs and buttermilk) and no night shades..I hope this helps you and that you and your daughter get some answers. good Luck!
