Lyme and irritated gums

My whole life I have had super healthy teeth and gums. No cavities every. I have had Lyme for almost 5 years, and up until now no teeth problems (just saying this because I know peridontal disease and Lyme disease cross-react on western blot)

However, at the end of January I had my wisdom teeth out. when I went to the dentist at the beginning of March/mid march (can't remember exactly) they noticed that a) I still had a lot of inflammation/irritation around where my wisdom teeth had come out and b) I had a bit of gum irritation/gingivitas on my very rear molars. I suspected that was because I hadn't been able to brush/floss back there until my mouth healed.

However, just very recently (last 10 days), my gums have become VERY sore and irritated. Flossing is very painful, and my gums bleed when I floss. I have had a rough month lyme wise. I am wondering if this could be related to Lyme? My dental coverage didn't even fully cover the wisdom teeth so I can't afford to go back to dentist.

Like you, I have always taken great care of my teeth, although I did have a couple of cavities.  My gums tend to bleed when flossing, and I tend to have a bit of mild gingivitis, too.  Lately (in the past year) I have had more tooth pain/sensitivity.  From what I understand, it is common to have tooth/gum symptoms with Lyme.

I had wisdom teeth extracted about 12 years ago, and ended up with my first ever sinus infection as a result.  At that time, I didn't know I had had Lyme for 4 years.
