Hi all, hope you are doing well today. I just found this board and wanted to join up. I was diagnosed with Lyme just last fall and tested positive 2 out of 3 on the western blot test. It's estimated that I have had Lyme for approximately 5 yrs now or so. I've been previously diagnosed or suspected of all the usual diseases such as lupus, fibro, chronic mono, depression, mitral valve regurgitation, anxiety, thyroid and have had cysts removed from ovary (total hysterectomy) and one thyroid completely removed. Anyway, Dr. started me on Doxy and added a anti milarial drug for a short time due to my neck pain and stiffness. about
1 month ago he changed script
s to ceftin and zpack then just last week added flagyl. He has mentioned that he thinks I have neuro Lyme in addition to other forms. I've always had very stiff achy neck but with the additional of these new abx I've noticed a big decline in my irritability, heightened senses and can't stand loud noises, crowds etc., my reading blurs and moves, can't focus, can't form thoughts, memory horable, grouchy and sometimes just unusually angry and hateful feeling, headaches, ear pain. I wondered if this is all normal and if anyone else has experienced? I've been on pysiciatric meds for a long time and currently on cymbalta, clonazepam, lithium, ambien and pantoprazole (recently added for parethesia neuro). I wondered if I should notify my Physciatric Dr. of feelings or regular MD or if this is all to be expect. Thanks in advance for any of your comments and thoughts.
