Holter monitor/rapid heart beat

I was having issues with random rapid heart beats and tingly/numb feeling going down my left arm. I had a 48 hr holter monitor and they told me I have random episodes of rapid heart beats. The dr is going to prescribe me a beta blocker. Was wondering if anyone has experience with beta blockers thanks.

I have had a number of issues with my heart both before and during treatment. While critical at the time (I have been hospitalized several times), it proved to be temporary.

With each issue, doctors have wanted to put me on permanent medications. I used them at first, but found I didn't need them after a short while.

As you progress with your treatment, you may find that you no longer require the beta blockers. Just a thought.

My daughter was on metoprolol briefly for tachycardia. She now just takes it as needed. It is nice to have something in case she needs it, but am glad that she does not need to be on it all the time. I am sure this will go away with treatment, as well!
