Hi all!! My ILAD trained NP will not allow me to go on antibiotics until I get rid or severe, chronic diarhea. I have had this for over 6 years and still have not found away to get rid of it.  In the meantime, she has me detoxing.  Does detoxing do anything without the antibiotics (or any herbals, etc). Thanks!!

I wrote this in reply to your post earlier this month on the same subject:

Have you considered treating the Lyme disease with herbal treatments? There are many members here that have gone that route because of the problems they have with their GI tract.

My concern is that the Lyme itself is causing your digestion problems and that by not treating it you will end up in a bigger boat load of problems.

You really need to be being treated. Detoxing alone will not resolve the Lyme disease.

Achieving Grace - Thank you so much for your reply and sorry that I missed your response in the past (to be honest I don't even remember asking this before, but I'll blame my poor memory on the Lyme!).  I will ask my NP if we can start herbals to start with then.  I feel frustrated waiting and doing nothing but drinking lemon water, drybrushing, epsom salt baths, probiotics and eating well, all to no avail.  Thanks again for your response AchievingGrace!
