Hi Eyeryone
I know that cortisone is a no go for Lymes ,my question is about taking homeopathic cortisonum D10.I have been advised that this encourages the body to produce its own cortisone,helping to reduce inflammation in the joints.I have no idea if this is is reliable information or not and hope that someone in the forum can help me.I certainly do not want to be taking something which is counter productive or even dangerous!

I have not heard of cortisonum, but I do know that many LLMD's will use hydrocortisone (cortef) sometimes combined with Florinef in low doses. I have been using it in physiological doses and my LLMD claims that any negative effects that it would have on the immune system or on Lyme infections would be with a much higher pharmacological dose.

I was very worried about taking it at first, but I decided to try it because I was having a hard time making it through the day. The 2nd week on it, it worked great but then the past two weeks it has been hit or miss of whether it keeps me going. I am trying to figure out why that is. I think it has to do with when I take the dose and how much salt I take it with.

The globules (3x3 per day) are made by the German Homeopathic Union which is the number one producer here.People that I know swear by them, as I said my big concern is if they are L ymes compatable.It is really difficult to know if something is workiing or not isn't it ? My symptoms seem to change hourly at the moment,still we will battle on.
