Igenix
is
one of the best labs for testing for tick-borne infections, but please remember that testing is still poor! If you have one of the other 95 or so strains that are here in the US, you won't test positive for the 4 or 5 (or so) strains that they do test for. Another thing is if you have had the infection(s) for very long, the bacteria is
very
good at hiding from our immune systems, so the antibodies that the tests search for just won't be there.
Tick-borne infections are to be diagnosed clinically, by symptoms and by history of possible tick bites, or just by being in situations where you are highly exposed to the possibility of being bit by a tick and have the symptoms. If you fit the criteria and have enough of the symptoms, that is when you should be diagnosed and start treatment, not when a test designed for tracking purposes of only a couple of the many strains tells someone that you have that one specific strain that they test for.
What does your doc think of this?

Have not shared results with the doc yet. Even she expressed how testing is doubtful. I am not sure if I will go back to her. I liked the personality and just spirit of a ND i saw in April better. She looks at your soul, mind, and body as one. Focuses on immune system, etc. Both of their diet lifestyles are pretty much the same.
How reliable is a blood candida test? M005? That came back abnormal, and 3.17.

That, the candida tests, I'm not sure of!! LOL!!
Personally, I think the Holistic way is the best way to heal - looking at all aspects of the body and understanding that it works as a whole leads to doing things a bit differently, but it's the only way I could heal, so I would encourage you to talk to the ND again if you were more comfortable with her.

She was good, she had me crying. lol. I cant explain it. She saw straight through me emotionally. We discovered a connection of my symptoms starting in 2002-2003 from immune system being weakened by suicidal thoughts, anger, hurt, depression, loneliness because of home life. Plus we are on the same page spiritually/religiously which helps. She owns an organic cafe and I went there with friends wednesday and saw her briefly.
In other news...my D levels and calcium levels are good!
