I have had severe gut issues for years, (since Lyme). The last 5 have been horrible.
I can't eat popcorn, gluten, nothing with nuts or seeds,
Other things I can NOT have.
alcohol (mixed drinks, beer, wine)
butter, mayonnaise, margarine, oils
carbonated beverages
coffee, tea, chocolate
corn husks
dairy products, I buy Almond milk
fatty foods (fried foods)
foods high in fiber
gas-producing foods (lentils, beans, legumes, cabbage, broccoli, onions)
nuts and seeds (peanut butter, other nut butters)
raw fruits
raw vegetables
red meat and pork
spicy foods
whole grains and bran
You could avoid these things to see how you feel in a month or so. By avoiding your "trigger foods," you may find that your GI symptoms of gas, bloating, abdominal pain, cramping, and diarrhea and or constipation are more manageable. At the same time, you will give your inflamed intestines time to heal.
I also have pain on my lower right side towards my back. I have been checked many times and they found no cause. I also get bloated, sometimes it's rough. Now I found out I now have crohn's and they say from the test I need to have surgery to remove some of intestines that are really damaged. To be honest I have more problems than I could possibly list. What I have found out is Lyme attacks your entire body and I've been sick about
10 years. The herbal tea I'm drinking daily is helping with my head pressure and dizziness so I keep drinking it and praying this will help me finally get well or at least get me well enough so that I don't live in bed. Hang in there and keep on fighting!
