Gaining weight is common with Lyme, but so is loosing weight!! Babesia is also known to cause weight gain, but adrenal and thyroid issues can have an impact on weight gain as well.
Do what you can to limit your calories, and to cut back on starches (gluten intolerance is common and can cause weight gain as well), while still eating as healthy as you can. Exercise - when it's tolerated - is another good thing to do, not only to help keep weight in check, but to help your body deal with the toxins too. Drinking water before you eat will help you to feel a little less hungry too.
I just had 10 lbs plop down on me thanks to my adrenals starting to crash once again, so I know how you feel!!! I've never been this heavy! ARRRG!!!
