Hi Everyone,

I've been off antibiotics for over 4 weeks now and I haven't noticed any flare ups yet.

Infact I'm continuing to heal very slowly but here's the thing,my right hand side seems to be healing faster ,I know this sounds abzurd but I'm not imagining it.

The swelling in my right foot,knee and hand has nearly gone whilst the limbs on my left are much more puffy and sore.how is this possible?

I have heard of Lymies healing either from head to toe or vice versa but from right to left,this is wierd.I am left handed so I would have prefered the other way round LÖL

Any thoughts on this strange phenomenon,certainly beats me,but then again, I find this whole Lyme journey most bizzare

Bizzare is a good word for it!! LOL!! When I was a newbie here, most members were talking about the left/right side symptoms. Most had symptoms mainly affecting their left side, while mine -at the time - were mainly on my right side. Left me a little confused back then!! LOL! There were the thoughts of having one side of the nervous system was more heavily infected than the other, but I don't think it works that way. I think it has more to do with the central nervous system and the damage that was done - although the damage can obviously be repaired.

Anyway, chances are that you will find that those symptoms will also fade into the background as well. A word of caution though - always be on the look out for increasing symptoms!

I have no thoughts on the right/left side issue as I'm relatively new to this. But I have to say, your post about being off antibiotics for a month and not having any flareups yet has really given me hope this morning. I've been blue for the past 2 days as i've been doing a ton of research and I've been sick with worry wondering if I'll ever get rid of this. : ( Thanks for sharing your update and I hope your left side catches up with right ASAP!!
