Right now I'm taking a break from treating the infections as my body is complaining quite loudly and we're trying to calm things down.
With that being said, for my Lyme infection I used a protocol that no one else here has used as far as I know, although I've shared it before. Here's a link to the one that I used for 9 months with great results so far:
www.mistymeadows.org/wendydocs/Lyme%20Disease.pdf The explanation of the herbs and why they are used starts on page 70 and the "recipes" start on page 76. The one I used was the "Chronic Tonic" one page 77, only my Practitioner had me just combine the herbs and then take 13 grams of the mixture and make a tea with 4 cups of water, allowing to steep for 30 minutes, then strain and drink 1 cup of the tea, 4 times a day.
For my Bartonella we used Houttyunia, the whole leaf herb. Several people here have use the powdered herb, but I used the whole leaf herb and -again- made a tea out of it, taking 3 grams of the Houttuynia and using 3 cups of water, allowing it to steep for only 10 minutes, then cool and drink 1 cup, 3 times a day. I used this tea for 6 months and it worked wonders for me as well. I couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes at the longest, now I'm on my feet for hours each day.
A caveat though - I haven't finished my Lyme and Bart treatments. We took a break from them as my symptoms were
greatly reduced, in order to treat my Babesia infection since those symptoms were really reeking havoc with me at that time.
Of course, you can feel free to email me for any more details or if you have questions, or if you would like more detail about
anything.
