fever on antibiotics

I've been following an herbal protocol for my lyme but have had to go on antibiotics for suspected Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth/my inability to digest anything other than potatoes and rice. I'm on day 6 of antibiotics now and have been running a low grade fever the whole time. Is this normal/ok? It's a big deal for me because my typical body temperature is VERY low usually.

Fevers are part of a herx for me. Sometimes I feel like I'm burning up and my temperature is only 99. I also have a very low "normal" temperature of 95-96.

I have gotten fevers many times when starting new antibiotics. Sometimes right away and sometimes in the 3rd week. Usually they're low, but occasionally they've gone up to 103 or so.

They only time when I worry about a fever is if I also am extremely flu-like and developing any sort of rash. Then I call my LLMD. A rash, fever and flu-like symptoms can potentially be a sign of Steven Johnson's Syndrome which is a rare but serious reaction to medications. So if there is ever a rash, let a doctor decide if it's normal, herxing, allergic or SJS.

I'm feeling alright, not too bad. The fever comes and goes like it did when I was first feeling all the lyme symptoms a few years back. I'll give my doc a call tomorrow. Thanks!
