Has anyone had this? Did it help? As I understand it, some blood is removed, treated with UV, and then returned to the body.

My LLMD wants me to have these treatments because my recovery is not happening. She feels that my body is so full of toxins that the abx are having limited success.

I have a primary immune deficiency, so I already have one arm tied behind my back.

I am a little nervous about having this type of treatment, but am fairly convinced that it might help to get me to a new baseline that will allow other treatments to work.

Any input would be appreciated!

I had 5 UVB treatments done about 5 yrs ago for an elevated Ebstein Barr (didn't know I had lyme at the time). I did 5 in 2 weeks & ended up couchbound for a month!!! Now that I know I have lyme (and have for awhile), I think the UVB was killing it too quickly & I was herxing big time! The horrible fatigue/exhaustion of the Ebstein Barr did get better & I credit it to the UVB. I would do it again. At that time it only cost $55 treatment. I replied to another message awhile back on the UVB subject & some people said it was "radiation".....I told my Atlanta doc (not the one I got the treatment from but he was privvy to UVB), he said that was not the case....how he explained it was way over my head & with my shortterm memory issues, I don't remember what it was! If you do it, I'd just take it slow & see how you will react as I believe I did too many in a short time period for my body to handle. Good luck & happy healing!
