Anyone use a water filter for their faucet?

I'm pretty sure I'm sensitive to the plastic water bottles and I don't really want to drink the tap. I was wondering If anyone knew what kinds are good. I was reading up on reverse osmosis but couldn't get a definitive answer of whether it's safe or not. Any info would really help!

Reverse Osmosis

removes fluoride (some do not want it due to health concerns)
removes Hexavalent Chromium
is more expensive, has more parts and takes up more under sink space
costs more to maintain (more filters to replace)


Activated Carbon Block

does NOT remove flouride (some like it for cavity prevention)
does NOT remove hexavalent chromium
never runs out, your system can quickly filter water to keep up with demand, water stays cool
is less expensive, has very few parts, takes up less space
costs less to maintain (less filters)

We drink Reverse Osmosis water.
