Saw a PCP last week in same clinic as my LLMD because LLMD was booked til Jan 17.

Excessive thirst, pounding heart, headache, anxiety.

Never saw this MD before, and he didn't want to change thyroid meds since I wasn't his patient. (I;m suspicious it might be meds and/ or adrenals.) .

He did EKG, blood counts, electrolyte test. All were normal.

Guess I"m supposed to be glad because all tested ok. But after he talked to my LLMD shouldn't she respond?

My former LLMD who I loved but stopped seeing because she was too far away would have called me or scheduled a phone consult.

Just so discouraged. Feel like they must think I"m a hypochondriac since it's obviously unimportant for them do consider any of my symptoms any further.

I do have Lyme w/ positive western blot and ELISA.

Are you on antibiotics or herbs? I agree that they should have called to address the issue. I've had the same issue and have called my LLMD a few times about these types of symptoms. They usually say it's herxing and to either stop the meds or back down for a break. It's usually my choice though and I don't like to back down unless my blood work is showing a serious issue.

Have they checked you for P.O.T.S(Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)....its pretty rare but my chronic lyme turned into this. I see a cardiologist and my LLMD for it. My Cardio is sending me to Vanderbilt for more testing. Try researching it and see what you think.

I think for POTS to occur while one has Lyme is far from rare - either that or most of us here are 'rare birds' (LOL!). Here is a great link for reading more on POTS and Lyme.

Are you sure you're not herxing? Are you detoxing?

If you don't have confidence in your LLMD, maybe it's time to find yet another one that will stay in better communication with you?

I don't have the tachycardia, but I do have postural hypotension which actually my chiropractor discovered about a month ago

I also mentioned that to the doctor last week and evidently that's not a concern either.

I'm off of abx right now. Had started rifampin in the summer and was not able to sleep without increasing ambien so made me stop it. It was hell to go through the 5 weeks, but actually was starting to feel better with my headache not as bad at the end.

I was not able to talk to my LLMD or get in to see her during that 5 week period. I felt really bad about that because I know it was working.

I'm sort of through with LLMDs and am self-treating. Going to start A-Bart. Have been on parasite cleanse for about 2 months and want to see if I get rid of parasites, if the other co-infections go away.

(have been on everything in the past--numerous abx, Buhner, Cowden)

Well, best of luck with your protocol this time! Have you treated for Babesia? If you're not herxing, then those symptoms sound like Babesia.

If you would like more info on Babesia (& other tick-borne infections) I would suggest that you do some reading on Dr. James Schaller's site: www.personalconsult.com/. He's done extensive research on Babesia and Bartonella.

It's such a shame that for some of us the only option we have is to self-treat. I for one will be so very glad when these infections get the recognition that they deserve and we can 'come out in the open' about not only our diseases, but our treatments as well. One day....one day!
