abnormal monthly urine analysis, question

I'm wondering what could cause abnormal results in a monthly urine analysis? My LLMD checks my blood and urine each month and they have been normal until this month. Blood was fine (liver and kidney function holding strong), but the urine analysis showed
WBC Esterase, WBC, and casts present, and a few bacteria.

Could it be because I'm not drinking enough? Anyone else have this? My blood pressure is still high, so I'm wondering if I should look outside of lyme to see if something else is going on caused my bp issues.

Are you having any bladder issues? I had an abnormal urine test like that over a year ago that sent me to a nephrologist. Something about casts concerned my endocrinologist as she thought that it was an indicator of kidney disease. The nephrologist said that casts appear in urine all of the time. She said that WBC and bacteria in urine often indicate some sort of bladder related infection. The nephrologist sent me to the urologist who after a scope indicated I had an irritated bladder. From what I learned later, lyme can cause bladder infections of this sort and it appears that bartonella likes to hang out down there too.

If you are having bladder issues like bladder pain, bloating, irritation, frequency and urgency then maybe you have something going on down there. I had always felt that the lyme had decided to camp out down there. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info, JustaScarf. The thing is, I'm NOT having bladder issues, but I've been dealing with a lot of blood pressure issues, which have always concerned me and had me wondering if somehow my kidneys are messed up by lyme.(I don't seem to have coinfections, and my LLMD thinks it's only lyme.)

Years ago I had abnormal urine tests, and frequent UTIs but that was before being DXed with lyme. I haven't heard back from LLMD about this, but she sent me the labs w/o any comment, so I'm thinking this may not concern her.

I appreciate hearing your experience though. I won't let this be overlooked.

From what I just read, the WBC and the WBC esterase can indicate a urinary tract infection, as Justascarf has said. But the WBC or RBC casts in the urine can be indicative of kidney issues. A nice chart found here simplified things for me:
