Opugirl, when I first read your first post, I said to myself "hmmm, maybe she's constipated" and then I read that Traveler posted that...
Anyway, don't underestimate constipation as I suffered with that for years and it can do horrible things to a person. I know people don't like to talk about it but maybe because I'm older and crazier I don't mind at all!
If I miss a day where I don't have a full-fledged poop, I actually feel really toxic. That's the only way I can describe it.
I don't think people realize what's going on inside. That poop sticks to the walls of our intestines and gets recycled back into our bloodstream and other areas messing everything up.
Times when I needed a quick fix to help me go, I would drink epsom salts in water (it says it on the box) and lo and behold, I go! Aloe Vera works (a good brand), magnesium works, eating ruffage works, etc. I'm one of the rare ones on this forum who does coffee enemas because it's really a healthy thing to do. But one has to work up to that! Is that TMI? LOL!
