Herbs in powder or alcohol tincture?

I prefer the powder form. Mainly because I already have random problems with liver enzymes, and I worry that an alcohol tincture, especially when combined with antibiotics, could create more of an issue in that regard.

Thanks! You guys buy them in bulk from trusted herb websites?

Buhner's partner told me herbs are totally fine in powder form in juice,water,or applesauce.

mountainroseherbs.com VERY strict testing,and organic methods,etc. Buhner recommends this most for bulk herbs.

I use both tinctures and powdered herbs. For me if my doc doesn't specifically say tincture, I go for the powdered herbs as they are usually less expensive and easier to find.

I also use organic powdered herbs (I love mountainroseherbs.com - but not financially affiliated with them in any way, just a happy customer).

I put all my herbal powders and digestive enzyme powders in one little cup, and then I swirl the cup around to mix everything together. I then put a small amount at a time of this mix on my tongue, then slurp in some water and swish it all around in my mouth, then swallow.

I repeat this until the whole amount of powder is "down the hatch."

Then I chew up any tablets I'm taking (calcium, etc.), and then eat my food.

I don't swallow pills because they get stuck when I try (I still have residual swallowing problems that hit me as a result of a severe herx from Japanese Knotweed)...
