Breaking through the BS!!! A stand against scams!!

Hey all,

So I see that people are always starting new posts for different reasons. I am starting this post to raise awareness for all the hype on things that may just be a scam. A lot of people try to make a buck off those chronically ill, by promoting products and false hopes. Meanwhile, scientific evidence points otherwise, and us Lyme patients get scammed like the poor man that won the Swedish lottery, though he never played.

Please everyone join in. And nowhere am I saying that a product doesn't really work.. We are all different and lyme is different for all of us. But I would really like to hear from others things that didn't work, even if a top LLMD said it would.. And lets all remember to stay nice, even in the face of opposition. For we all wanna tell many doctors to go play in traffic.. but we are better than that... At least most of the time..lol

Your case is an excellent example. I am not necessarily anti-antibiotic. However, a lot of the same people that stress the "science" of antibiotics-only also pooh-pooh many of the weighty issues such as liver support as "unscientific." It is sad for me to see the unnecessary suffering that takes place because of this narrow-minded and uninformed approach.

You are on the right path, and with your eyes and ears open. It is exciting for me to see the evolution of thinking processes on this forum! The beginning of healing starts with an informed desire to think independently when necessary.

I realize that cautions are always appropriate, but I think that the biggest danger is that patients are not as well informed as they could be with regard to things that could help them... as in your example. If anything, it can be said that the lyme journey is a jouurney of discovery. This is just my 2 cents.
